Benefits include:
• Doing something that you really like definitely
• Being there for your kids
• Freedom to work the hours that fit with your schedule
• Work full or full-time
• Take time off when you feel like it
• Develop the business to the point where your husband can come home and you can work it together

Considering the benefits, finding and developing a home business, whether online, offline or a combination of both, is well worth it.
Unfortunately, home-based business scams also abound, but…. the good news is, you can learn how to avoid the scammers and find the legitimate opportunities.

Home Business Scam Warning Flags

If you come across any of the following “warning flags”, proceed with caution.

1. It seems too good to be true. It probably is.
2. Make big bucks quick. If an opportunity boasts that you can make hundreds or even thousands in a week, it's likely a scam.
3. No experience needed. The truth is that there is some level of experience needed for any business.
4. Be up & running in two hours or some unrealistic amount of time. Work is work and it takes time and effort to get a business up & running.
5. Check the sites various links - if none or few work, be wary
6. Is there a help, contact, or about us section? There should be & make sure that those links work.
7. Is the product obscure, or can you easily identify what the opportunity or product is?
8. Are you required to call a number or send an email in order to get more information?
9. Do they ask for money before they give you the details? If they need money upfront before giving you the details, this is where the money is made. Getting people to spend their money upfront is the business.
10. Is the site secured? Before completing any transaction, check the little padlock icon at the bottom of your screen. If it's missing or broken, DO NOT send financial or confidential information, DO NOT complete the transaction.
11. No available references - Be aware if a company has no or refuses to give out references.

Part II will cover ways you can research a home business opportunity that you think is worth pursuing.
To your success!
