Do you know any thieves, I bet you do. I bet that you know at least one, and I bet that they are robbing you every single day. They’re probably not taking away your material stuff, but they are robbing you of something far more precious; Your Dreams. They are stopping you from changing your life for the better. It's amazing how many people tell their friends and family that they cannot succeed. This is especially true when you are trying to do something "outside of the box" like making money online or starting your own business.
These individuals act as though they are giving you sound advice and that they are helping you live “a more practical life” but all they are doing is validating their own failures and insecurities by making you feel the same insecurities and therefore making you fail just the same way that they fail.
Living your life in any way other than the way that you are passionate about will only lead to you feeling unsatisfied in life, wondering what could have been…
Those which try to discourage you from achieving your goals are only telling you what they would do in your position, but since they don’t have your drive or passion they cannot see things in the way you can see them. They are simply acting out of their own fears and insecurities.
You feel what you feel and you want what you want for a reason. Just because others have taken the easy road in life (and therefore lived a empty life) doesn’t mean that you have to do the same. Giving up on your goals just because someone thinks they are unrealistic is no way to live your life.
This is what you can do to defend yourself against these thieves….
If you want to be self-motivated then you should spend time with others who are also self motivated.
If these thieves are close relations or good friends (who may actually have your best intentions at heart), try keeping you gaols to yourself for a while until they pick up some momentum. Once you’ve made progress in your dream then they will likely be much more supportive.
The most important defence is for you to be confident in yourself. If you are truly confident in yourself and your abilities then no one will ever be able to sway you from your path and no amount of negative talking will ever discourage you. You just need to believe in yourself.
Each day try to visualise you goals and you will develop a kind of shield against all negativity. This vision acts as a magnet for your dreams.
