By learning to set up a website, you would have learned a very valuable skill, one that you can use to make money. On talking with the business owners you should be able to see how easy it is to earn money by providing these services. Now, you can learn all the intricacies of marketing that are there, from setting up auto responders, to doing pay per click advertising and how to do a search engine optimization, etc
One of the things that you will notice is that it is a far easier task to promote a business in your town than it is to try and promote an opportunity that may not last for long or for that matter a business that many thousands are also promoting. You can test this out by talking to a few of the businesses in your town and get their perspective!
Before you approach the small business owners it is always a good idea to call them ahead and see if they are available for a discussion. It is always better to choose a business from an industry that is performing quite well and in that case real estate would be out for the obvious reason. Do not attempt to pitch your proposal right away on meeting the business owner; first ask him about his business. Listen carefully to what he is saying and what he is not saying. Then when he asks about yours, make sure that you explain everything in a clear and concise manner so that he can understand you perfectly. You should ask him for some referrals and this is where you can get to make your pitch. Indicate to him that your solution would meet the business needs of both of you. After this meeting, you may need a follow up meeting or two to wrap things up. This process although is a bit time consuming is quite effective. Once you have signed the deal do not forget to collect 50% of your payment in advance, this is just to be safe.
If you want to provide more services, you can add them later. But for the time being, just do a good job so that your services are valued highly. If you set out to do all that I have listed above at least 10 times a week, you would soon have more business than you know what to do with. Someone I know did the same thing and within a day or so, had managed to get a hefty check for $1500. The only person stopping you from earning all that money is you if you do not try it out.
